Fiji Airways flying with pets

Does Fiji Airways accept pets as baggage?

Fiji Airways may, at its discretion, accept for carriage as checked baggage pet animals (such as cats, dogs, rabbits, and birds). Fiji Airways doesn’t accept cats and dogs less than six months old or weighing less than 3 kg. Pets must be transported in a clean, leak-proof, and escape-proof cage/kennel/container with adequate space for the pet’s comfort, which must not exceed 30 kg (66 lbs) and 158 cm (62 in) and must be approved by Fiji Airways.

The pet and its container will not be treated as part of the free checked baggage allowance and will be charged as excess baggage, plus a 50% surcharge for handling.

Does Fiji Airways accept Service Dogs?

Fiji Airways accepts for transportation, free of charge (in addition to the normal free baggage allowance), a Service Dog when it accompanies a passenger with a disability dependent upon such a dog. The dog must be properly harnessed and will be permitted to accompany such passenger into the cabin (it is not permitted to occupy a seat). When the passenger requires an additional seat to accommodate the Service Dog, Fiji Airways will require an additional fare to be paid in the case of international flights. Contact Fiji Airways for more information about its regulations.

Fiji Airways does not accept animals other than dogs as Service Animals or emotional support animals.
