Malaysia Airlines minors flying alone

Does Malaysia Airlines offer services for children traveling alone?

For Malaysia Airlines, an unaccompanied minor refers to a child who has reached the 5th but not the 15th birthday and is not accompanied on the flight by his/her parents/guardians or another passenger aged 18 years or more. With the Unaccompanied Minor service offered by Malaysia Airlines, the Special Assistance Crew is on hand to provide friendly reassurance and guidance to these young passengers.

How can I make arrangements for the Unaccompanied Minor service?

This service must be requested upon reservation of the ticket for the child, for which the full adult fare will be charged. At this time, you will need to complete the “Unaccompanied Minor” form. This form gives Malaysia Airlines the relevant information required to ensure your child’s safety while in its care, as well as to ensure that the child is entrusted to your trusted guardian upon arrival at the final destination.
