For a nearly 7 Hour flight, United could at least improve their entertainment, COMPLETELY bored, the main screen TVs in the aisle are hard to see and of poor quality. Also, food could at least be provided 7 hours is hard to go by with only a snack.

Plenty of legroom with this seat. United does, however, need to invest some money in updating their seats for comfort, as well as upgrading amenities. There was no television or food on this (almost) 6 hour flight. Final leg of my trip was a 3.5 hr. Flight from Sydney to Christchurch, and Air New Zealand had not only individual television for each seat, but dinner! My question is...."why, United?".....

Very comfortable, reasonably quiet, the seat was long enough and reclined to the horizontal so I slept longer than I normally do. The seat controls and entertainment were easy to operate. The food and wine were very good. No complaints whatsoever.

Standard lie flat business seat. Width is a bit poor as the armrest on the right cannot be removed. Outward oriented chair makes is easier to look outside, better for neck and back. Remote controle button of this media-set was dated, need to push hard. Movie package up to date and divers. I like the plugs for headphones and power being behind me, less trouble with wires. I will assumenthe cabin crew member that served us was new - poor service.

Standard domestic business seating. Small tv screen in front of your nose with for a non-US guy incomprehensible viewing instructions. All about paying with your credit card. Service and drinks OK. They call a bag of chips 'food-service' .

standard business seat in an extremely noisy United plane. Bring you own headphones, the free ones are useless against the roar of the engines.

Should have paid more attention up front on reviews of this seat. VERY busy being next to galley door, carts moving in and out, hitting of shoulder as they go past. Crowded but almost livable otherwise. Seat pitch does not allow anyone with "girth" to lower table fully flat. Wish they would make table with a double fold so could choose a narrower (passenger to table) option. Grades given based on being 5'8", taller people will have legroom issue.

Quietest ride I can remember...engines barely hum at takeoff despite mega thrust...even toilets that only flush when the seat is closed to seal the noise in...automated water at lav, toilet flush, and electro-chromatic window ''screens'. Standard CO > UA J class product, meaning thank you for almost 7 hours' uninterrupted sleep after a tasty meal. Hate that the IFE stops for each announcement, but that's life in this digital age...

Upgraded to first class on the return flight. This time a daytime flight for the family of four (2A-E). This was a legacy United crew but they had the new Continental "can do" attitude that is improving this airline slowly. Service was outstanding and the crew made sure the kids were happy. Food was decent and the drinks were offered numerous times. Overall a very good flight. Baggage claim at Newark was lightning fast - the bags beat us out of the plane as we were "priority" status. I would fly again.

The seat was fine and right behind the exit row. Family took up four seats in the row (A-D) and no problems were experienced. Enjoyed the flight with a movie and it was on time with no concerns.
