Are children allowed to travel alone on SmartLynx flights?

Depending on their age, children may travel alone (without being accompanied by an adult passenger). Children traveling alone as Unaccompanied Minors receive assistance from SmartLynx staff at departure and destination and during the flight. SmartLynx will charge an additional fee for the assistance of Unaccompanied Minors.

What age should a child be to travel alone on SmartLynx flights?

Children aged under 5 years are not allowed to travel alone and must be always accompanied by an adult passenger.

Children aged from 5 to 12 years are allowed to travel alone only assisted by SMartLynx staff and provided that they are accompanied for check-in at the departure airport by an adult. A written confirmation stating that another adult will wait for the child at the destination airport must be submitted to SmartLynx.

Children aged from 12 to 18 years are allowed to travel alone as adult passengers, but can receive assistance from SmartLynx staff upon the parents’ written request.
