What is the hand baggage allowance?
On SmartLynx flights, the hand baggage allowance includes one piece of baggage and certain personal items. The total weight of the hand baggage (including personal items) cannot exceed 5 kg. The maximum size of the hand baggage cannot exceed 55 x 45 x 25 cm.
As personal items, a passenger is entitled to take in the passenger cabin the following: a small handbag, a coat, an umbrella or a cane, a camera or binoculars, a laptop, something to read during the flight, food for a child and medicines necessary during the flight, a pair of crutches or a fully folding wheelchair for persons with reduced mobility and disabled persons, a baby seat (if it fits in the baggage space of the cabin).
What is the checked baggage allowance?
SmartLynx flights are operated in cooperation with tour operators, so please contact your tour operator to get information about baggage. On SmartLynx flights, the checked baggage allowance is set by weight and depends on the route:
- From Riga:
- 20 kg – to Antalya, Heraklion, Bourgas, Rhodes, Varna.
- 13 kg – to Funchal, Tenerife, Hurghada, Ras Al Khaimah, Bergamo, Geneva.
- From Tallinn:
- 15 kg – to Antalya, Heraklion, Hurghada, Tenerife, Bourgas, Rhodes, Varna, Salzburg, Lanzarote, Turin.
- 13 kg – to Dubai.
The maximum size of a piece of checked baggage cannot exceed 84 x 56 x 32 cm. The number of pieces is not restricted on condition that the total weight of checked baggage does not exceed the maximum allowed weight. Exceptions are made only for special baggage such as sports equipment, musical instruments, pets and wheelchairs, for which you need to reserve space in advance. Restrictions may apply on some routes.
