Saudi Arabian Airlines check-in

What check-in options do I have for Saudi Airlines flights?

You have three options to check you in yourself before or after arriving at the airport:

  • Web Check-in.
  • Mobile Check-in.
  • Kiosk Check-in.

What is the deadline for checking-in at the check-in counter?

Saudia check-in counters open 3 hours for international flights and 2 hours for domestic flights before the scheduled time of departure. It is important to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before departure time of international flights and 90 minutes before the  departure  time  of  domestic  flights.  Check-in  counters  close  for  check-in  not later than 1 hour for international flights and 45 minutes for domestic flights before the scheduled time of departure.

Passengers’ presence at the boarding gate is required no later than 1 hour before departure time. Boarding gates close 20 minutes for international flights and 15 minutes for domestic flights before the scheduled time of departure.

Web Check-in

Web Check-in for Saudia flights is currently available between 24 hours and 3 hours prior to flight departure for:

  • All domestic flights.
  • Selected international flights.
  • Passengers holding a confirmed eTicket only.

Web Check-in is currently not available for passengers with special service requests such as extra seats, wheelchairs, pets, visual and hearing impairment, or Unaccompanied Minors service.

Saudi Airlines is required by security laws in several countries to give security, immigration, and customs authorities access to passenger data. All required information should be already entered in the booking for the boarding card to be issued. For international flights only, passengers are required to get their travel documents verified at check-in counters 2 hours prior to departure. Also, for verification purposes, the owner of the credit card used for payment should be present at the time of check-in.

Passengers carrying baggage that needs to be checked in should proceed to Baggage Drop (the counter designated for passengers who have used Web Check-in) or any available counter.

Mobile Check-in

Mobile Check-in is available for all domestic and selected international flights. When passengers who have used Mobile Check-in drop their baggage, the Saudia agent will verify travel document and print a normal boarding pass.

When using the Saudia app available for iPhone, you can get boarding passes for all the passengers using Passbook. Passbook saves your boarding pass on your iPhone so you don’t have to worry about having an internet connection at the airport.

Kiosk Check-in

Self-service kiosks serve the customers without intervention from anyone and without the need of waiting in queues at Saudia check-in counters. Kiosks are available in most airport served by Saudia in Saudi Arabia. Passengers can print their boarding pass, for domestic flights only, 24 hour before departure.
