I travel a lot, with many airlines and I have to say that I have mixed views on Emirates. The seat pitch is great, but the seat width is atrocious! They have squeezed in an extra seat into the middle section in Economy and bot can you feel it! I would rather fly on British Airways 77W with a 3x3x3 configuration even though they have a 31 inch pitch. Never again! When it came to dinner I had to co ordinate eating with my next door neighbour as there was just no room. Sorry Emirates, a big thumbs down which is a shame, I was looking forward to flying with you.

Best seat for a 19 hour flight. I am a quite broad and never had my shoulders taken out. Lucky to have a spare seat next to me that made all the difference. There was plenty of leg room and width and pitch of seat was comfortable. Everyone complaining of the 3x4x3 seating but not a problem. Came off flight relaxed and as rested as can be after 19 hours flying and 1 hour transit in Rio. Service as wonderful and meals very good.

Originally seat was 23H. Had a spare between me an 23K, but another passenger sat there which made it very tight eaven though leg room was amazing. Moved to 24D after take off by air stewardess. Was very concerned about all negative reviews of seat comfort and 3x4x3 seats. I am 5.11 & 120 kgs and I was comfortable all the way. Extra leg room is a bonus. Not a problem and I am a very broad guy. I have had more shoulders taken out in other airlines then in this on. The service on flight was amazing, ICE speaks for itself, and the comfort wonderful.

flight was very good, comfortable seats, good service. great lounge at Melbourne airport. BUT the lounge in T3 Dubai - terrible. put in a complaint on return to Australia. queue for the toilets (both!), food ran out, no where to sit comfortably together, hot, noisy, crowded, - a real let down Emirates! lounge at Lon(GW) wonderful on way home. traveling again this September - Hope Dubai has fixed the problem.

I can't imagine how much better First could be. Our entertainment systems had to be rebooted early in the flight but the FA's attention was complete and timely. The window here is forward of the seat and to get a good view you need to leave your seat but there is plenty of room so this isn't a problem. There was no discernible noise from the economy section just behind us and sleep was easy to reach in the bed that the seat became. The ICE screen is gorgeous and makes watching movies a real pleasure. If you wear glasses you will find some seat configuration that will allow you to see the screen without the odd head angles [and sore neck] sometimes necessary in economy.

I was a bit concerned after hearing how bad was the economy seat in the 3x4x3 sections after a relatively comfortable flight out of KIX to HAM in 47A & B. I am 6' 3" and a bit overweight but to be honest I was not all that uncomfortable. I guess thinner people on each side helped but the recline also helped.. In our 777ER the floor space was a bit restricted by the entertainment system box on the floor under the seat in front but that just made the feet snug rather than the space unusable. Our flights featured a mix of ICE system versions and the newer version is much better than the previous but either is very very good compared to most other airlines. I also noticed the 'all seats feature power sockets' claim is untrue. There is a mixture depending on the version you are flying in. When they are there though they really do accept any plug, including the Australian three pin types.

Traveling with my mother on two legs out to Hamburg these seats A & B were very convenient. The proximity of the toilets was not a concern with few people standing around except after meal services or before landing. Most of the flight was quiet and with just the two of us, uncrowded. Recommended.
