FrFounded in 1974 as a charter and executive airline, Contact Air is a German regional airline based in Stuttgart operating from Stuttgart Airport as part of Lufthansa Regional and out of Zürich Airport, its secondary base, on behalf of Swiss International Airlines, a Lufthansa subsidiary.
As of early 2012, Contact Air operates a fleet of eight Fokker 100s, 6 of them flying on behalf of Lufthansa Regional and the remaining 2 flying for Swiss International Airlines. Currently, there are no orders for new aircraft.
