Air Algerie flying with babies

How old should be my baby to be allowed on an Air Algérie flight?

Air Algérie has no age restrictions or limitations regarding its baby passengers, except for the fact that travel is not recommended for infants within 7 days of birth.

When am I required to reserve a seat for my baby?

A baby aged less than 2 years old can travel on an adult’s lap (not required to occupy an individual seat), and the infant fare, which is 10% of the full fare, will apply.

An adult at least 18 years old can travel with two children less than 2 years old. One infant can be carried on lap, while the other one, provided that he or she is at least 1 year old, must be seated in a government-approved, appropriate child safety seat placed on an aircraft seat, for which you have to pay the child fare.

The child fare applies to children who reached the age of 2, and up to 12 years old,  who  may  benefit  from  a  25-33% discount on the normal fare paid by the adults.

If an infant turns 2 before the return flight, the infant fare only applies for the outbound flight, and the child fare applies on the return flight.

Infant & Child Baggage and Amenities

On all flights and in all travel classes, the free baggage allowance for an infant under 2 years is 10 kg when traveling on an adult’s lap. For an infant under 2 years old traveling in a separate seat and children (2-11 years old), the same baggage allowance as for adults is applied. In addition, a folding stroller or baby basket may be checked free of charge.

Bassinets are available for carrying babies on board, but their number is limited depending on the type of aircraft.

You can book special meals, baby menu (up to 2 years) and children menu (from 2 to 10 years) 48 hours before your flight.
